Pet Fashion Show Attendant

Description: One (1) shift, 1-6 p.m. on Saturday, August 12th. This role involves helping with set-up and tear down of the show. Helping to monitor the pet clothes available for participants to use for the show, and monitoring the music during the actual show. If you are interested in fashion, or being a DJ, this role would per perfect for you.

Craft Area Attendant

You will be responsible for keeping the area organized and replenishing the supplies. All materials will be provided by the city. Walk Coordinator - Walk to Make Cystic Fibrosis History

Description: Cystic Fibrosis Canada is a national charitable not-for-profit corporation established in 1960, and is one of the world’s top three charitable organizations committed to finding a cure for cystic fibrosis (CF). As an internationally recognized leader in funding innovation and clinical care, we invest more in life-saving CF research and care than any other non-governmental agency in Canada.   Cystic Fibrosis is a fatal genetic disease impacting over 4,200 Canadians. People with Cystic Fibrosis must adhere to a strict infection control policies which means they cannot connect to others with the disease indoors. The only chance for our community to come together is at our Walk to Make Cystic Fibrosis History because it is outdoors; making this event extra special for those living with Cystic Fibrosis and their families.   ROLE:   The Walk Coordinator will participate in the planning process with a team of volunteers and together create a successful fundraising event in support of those living with Cystic Fibrosis and their families. This position will work closely with the chapter representatives, and work to help recruit, train and work lead our volunteers while ensuring the elements align with the national campaign. The coordinator will communicate with Regional and National staff, and will receive support, training documents, and guidance. This role will be a critical in the success of our 2018 Walk to Make Cystic Fibrosis History.   RESPONSIBILITIES:   Coordinate all elements of the Walk to Make Cystic Fibrosis History. Support, resources and materials will be supplied by Cystic Fibrosis Canada prior to the event; Act as the primary point of contact for Walk inquiries within the chapter; Manages committee member’s activities i.e track and monitor event deliverables to ensure all logistical aspects of the walk are in place and confirmed in advance of event day; Actively identify new sponsorship opportunities for event; Follow up and maintain existing relationships with sponsors, supporters, and community; Attend committee meetings and; Assist in planning, promotion and day-of execution.   WHAT WE OFFER: A community of support and a dedicated staff partner Develop and grow professional skills, expand your network An opportunity to make a significant difference in the lives of people with Cystic Fibrosis Build your resume while doing meaningful work Be a part of the momentum as we continue to be world leaders and work towards making Cystic Fibrosis History   TIME COMMITMENT: Six month commitment beginning in the winter 2-5 hours per week Must be present at entire event on May 27th If you think you’d be a great fit, we’d love to hear from you! asadowski@cysticfibrosis.ca

KASSI Volunteer Coordinator

Description: Kingston and Area Seed System (KASSI) is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to facilitating the development of a regional agricultural seed system.  As a community-focused not-for-profit, our activities are driven by a team of hardworking volunteers that are passionate about gardening, seed saving and regional food security. Part of its mandate is to develop a formal volunteering resource structure aimed at increasing the number of trained volunteers to assist in program delivery. The position of Volunteer Coordinator is incredible integral to the functioning of our day-to-day operations. This position would connect volunteers with KASSI events, work bees, and other Kingston and Area gardening opportunities. Bingo Volunteers

Organization: The Kidney Foundation of Canada

Description: The Kidney Foundation of Canada – Kingston Chapter is seeking volunteers to staff bingo events at Play! Gaming & Entertainment at 1600 Bath Road, Kingston  (Formerly known as Treasure Chest Bingo). Volunteers will complete an on-line training and attend a training session in advance of their first shift. Shifts are 2 hours long and volunteers will be required to stand throughout the shift while maintaining the hall in an orderly manner and connecting with patrons.
