Organization Type: Other Nonprofit
Address: Queens University, Kingston, Ontario

Zero Food Waste nonprofit is a Canadian wide nonprofit dedicated to promoting sustainability and reducing food waste in our community. Through Queen’s students, the zero food waste initiative has spread to Kingston. Our is to create a more resilient and environmentally conscious Kingston by connecting local food businesses, residents, and organizations to minimize waste!

We operate through various initiatives, including food recovery programs and community outreach. Our food recovery efforts involve collecting surplus food from local businesses and redistributing it to local charities and food banks in need, ensuring that no food goes to waste. By raising awareness about the environmental impacts of food waste, we aim to inspire a culture of sustainability in Kingston.

Join us in our commitment to creating a healthier, more sustainable community, where every bite counts!!

This is the true joy in life, the being used for a purpose recognized by yourself as a mighty one, the being thoroughly worn out before you are thrown on the scrap heap, the being a force of nature instead of a feverish little clod of ailments and grievances complaining that the world will not devote itself to making you happy.
