Opportunity Description:

Volunteers Kingston Community Land Trust is a new organization (incorporated in March, 2024) so we are still finding our footing! This presents those who are interested in volunteering the opportunity to make a big impact on the trajectory of the organization. Anyone who donates their time to the organization. KCLT will be conducting research, planning events, and doing advocacy, all in pursuit of combatting skyrocketing rent and cost of living and we call on our volunteers to help us execute these events. We also rely on our volunteers to bring their ideas and perspectives to the organization so we can help you make those ideas for the community a reality. If you have experience in any of the areas below, please reach out, we would love to work with you! We welcome all assistance, but we are looking for people with experience or an interest in:   Advocacy Art Business Administration Construction Community organizing Event Planning Finance Graphic design Grant application writing Municipal by-laws Political organizing Post-secondary students Property management Real estate and rentals Small business Social Media Management Website design Community Partners Organizations or individuals that are a part of the Kingston-Frontenac community that would like to support KCLT in its goals for the community. This role is very broad and it is meant to encompass everything from, landowners who want to work with KCLT to build housing, organizations with an interest in the equitable development of the City, and businesses that provide services to KCLT or the buildings that we (will eventually) own. Small businesses and other community organizations are what give Kingston its unique character and their voices will be critical in shaping the character of this organization.
