Opportunity Description:

Provide guidance and advice to the board of directors on matters related to governance, strategy, and operations of the organization Facilitate board meetings, retreats, and other strategic planning sessions to ensure effective decision-making and alignment with the organization’s mission and goals Assist in the development of board policies, procedures, and bylaws, and ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements Advise the board on best practices in board governance, including board composition, roles and responsibilities, and performance evaluation Review and assess the effectiveness of the board’s committees and recommend changes or improvements as necessary Provide training and support to board members on their roles and responsibilities, including fiduciary duties, fundraising, and community engagement Assist in the recruitment and onboarding of new board members, and provide ongoing support and development opportunities for existing board members Monitor and evaluate the performance of the board and provide regular feedback and recommendations for improvement Collaborate with the founder to ensure alignment and effective communication between the board and staff
