Opportunity Description:

We are seeking a creative and passionate volunteer to serve as our Director of Social Media. This role is perfect for someone who loves animals and has a talent for storytelling through digital platforms. You’ll be the voice of our organization online, helping us connect with our community, showcase our adoptable animals and drive engagement that supports our mission. Key Responsibilities Content Strategy & Oversight Oversee all social media content, ensuring engaging photos, videos, stories and written posts featuring our animals and programs are consistently high quality. Maintain a consistent posting schedule across all platforms. Ensure that graphics and promotional materials created by the team are effective. Manage and coordinate with volunteer content creators and interns. Community & Engagement Act as the voice of our organization online, responding to comments, messages and inquiries promptly and professionally. Collaborate with staff to feature available animals and success stories. Engage with other animal welfare organizations and local businesses for cross-promotion. Attend monthly board meetings in-person or virtually.  Marketing & Brand Promote special events, fundraisers and adoption campaigns, driving donations and volunteer recruitment through compelling content. Track and report on social media metrics and engagement.
